Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, YOU ROCK!!!*MidnightAlleyCat and I are cheering on Sea Shepherd as we watch them in their campains against the Japanese on Whale Wars!
SOOO. I drew Blakat and Middy!!! Blakat is holding a bottle of butyric acid and wearing one of the orange suits the crew wears(I LOVE THOSE SUITS SO MUCH THEY'RE ORANGE!!! XD And yes, I actually sketch-reffed the design of the suits while watching the last episode of Whale Wars). Middy is wearing her Sea Shepherd bandanna and holding a flag that says: "GO SEA SHEPHERD". hehe I had to add a little whale on the flag

The Sea Shepherd is performing illegal acts. The Japanese are taking whales under "research conventions" and although they may not be using it for research, they are protected under the law as long as they claim it. They are also not hunting in an Australian Sanctuary, as that convention is only recognized by 4 out of the 194 countries it was proposed to.
They also attack sealers up in Canada who are hunting harp seals (which is 100% legal under Canadian law!) and have done so on thin ice, where it was a danger to both them and the sealers.
Their actions are ineffective as well. Japan sets its own quota, so saying that Japan only caught 100 whales last year, doesn't mean that they wanted to catch more than that. There is no way to quantify their results, and so they're destroying people's livelihood and lives.
It is eco-terrorism at its best.
